Please note The Australian Psychological Society (APS) sets recommended fees for psychology services, which is currently $300 for a 46-60 min session. Home Psychology and Speech Therapy charges less than this recommended fee, to make therapy and assessments as accessible as possible.

Speech Pathology Sessions

50 minute Speech Pathology Session- Face-to-face & Telehealth

Psychology Assessment


The commencement of all assessments involves an initial intake appointment. The cost of an initial appointment is $214.41 for a 50-minute appointment. This fee represents your initial investment, and there is no obligation to proceed with the assessment beyond this point.

Cognitive Assessments

$1300.00

Includes:

  • Gathering background information (initial session)

  • 1-2 hour cognitive assessment session (examples WISC-V or the UNIT-2)

  • Online questionnaires with school and parents (ABAS-3)

  • Written report with tailored recommendations

  • Phone call to the school or other allied health professionals if required

  • 50 minute feedback session with parents


Most individuals will finish the assessment within one sessions (1-2 hours). On some occasions an additional session may be required if an individual requires more frequent movement breaks and needs to work at a slower pace. This will be charged at a rate of $214.41 per hour.

Academic Assessments

$1300.00

Includes:

  • Gathering background information (initial session)

  • 1-2 hour academic assessment session (examples WIAT-III)

  • Online questionnaires with school and parents (ABAS-3)

  • Diagnostic formulation and extensive written report with individualised recommendations

  • Phone call to the school or other allied health professionals if required

  • 50 minute feedback session with parents

Cognitive and Academic Assessment for Specific Learning Disorders (e.g. Dyslexia)

$1700.00

Includes:

  • Gathering background information (initial session)

  • 1-2 hour cognitive assessment session (examples WISC-V or the UNIT-2)

  • 1-2 hour academic assessment session (examples WIAT-III)

  • Online questionnaires with school and parents (ABAS-3)

  • Diagnostic formulation and extensive written report with individualised recommendations

  • Phone call to the school or other allied health professionals if required

  • 50 minute feedback session with parents

Attention Deficit Hyper-Activity Disorder (ADHD) Assessments

$1700.00

Includes:

  • Gathering background information (initial session)

  • Interview with parents to ascertain developmental history (DIVA).

  • 1-2 hour cognitive assessment session (examples WISC-V)

  • Online questionnaires with school, parents, and self (Conners-4)

  • Diagnostic formulation and extensive written report with individualised recommendations.

  • Phone call to the school or other allied health professionals if required.

  • 50 minute feedback session with parents

Most individuals will finish the assessment within one sessions (1-2 hours). On some occasions an additional session may be required if an individual requires more frequent movement breaks and needs to work at a slower pace. This will be charged at a rate of $214.41 per hour.   

Autism Assessments

$2000.00

Includes:

  • Gathering background information (initial session)

  • 3 hour interview with parents to ascertain developmental history (ADI-R)

  • 1 hour assessment session (ADOS-2)

  • Diagnostic formulation and extensive written report with individualised recommendations

  • Phone call to the school or other allied health professionals if required.

  • 50 minute feedback session with parents

Optional Extras

 To add to your package:

  • Additional 30-minute feedback session with your child = $110

  • Additional 50-minute feedback session (e.g., for school) = $214.41

  • Screening assessments to determine whether it is worthwhile completing a full ADHD or Autism assessment = $300. Please note this will not be sufficient to provide a diagnosis.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

At Home Psychology and Speech Therapy, we provide services to NDIS participants who are either self-managed or plan managed.

Medicare

Depending on you or your child's diagnosis, there may be medicare rebates available. Speak to your GP about a Mental Health Plan (psychology sessions) or Chronic Disease Management (speech pathology and occupational therapist sessions).

Private Health Insurance


To determine your eligibility for rebates from your private health insurer, for either yourself or for your child, it's advisable to reach out to them directly and inquire about the extent of coverage they offer. Here at Home Psychology and Speech Therapy, all of our therapists are registered practitioners with AHPRA and can therefore provide services that are eligible for coverage by many private health funds.

Cancellation policy

Our practice maintains a 24-hour cancellation policy for all appointments, reflecting our commitment to both our psychologists and clients. Giving advance notice of any scheduling changes enables us to allocate your appointment slot to another client on our psychologist's waiting list, ensuring fairness and consistent service quality for all.
