Chanelle Tarabay

Chanelle is a Registered Psychologist (PSY0002410294) who brings a warm, positive, and collaborative approach to therapy. She enjoys working with people across the lifespan and is particularly passionate about supporting teenagers, adults, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Chanelle also has a developing interest in supporting older adults experiencing concerns such as depression, anxiety, and dementia. She works with couples using the Gottman Method to help strengthen communication, understanding, and connection.

Her approach is primarily informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and she also draws from other evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). Chanelle tailors therapy to each person’s needs and works collaboratively with clients to support them in reaching their goals.

Outside of the therapy room, Chanelle enjoys reading a good novel, playing netball, practicing Pilates, and testing her knowledge with trivia. A fun fact about Chanelle is that she is the youngest of five sisters and was named after Coco Chanel No. 5.
