What does a Psychology Allied Health Assistant (AHA) do?
A psychology allied health assistant (AHA) helps children and young people practise skills from therapy under the direction and supervision of a psychologist. This can include emotional regulation, social skills, and everyday routines.
Your child may understand a strategy in a psychology session and still need support to use it during a rushed school morning or a difficult moment with friends. An AHA provides opportunities to practise these skills between psychology appointments.
